By accessing or using Pet Pursuit (the "Service"), including the mobile application and website operated by Pet Pursuit ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use Pet Pursuit. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.

Free Plan: Pet Pursuit offers a free tier with access to breed browsing, breed profiles, favorites, and the Breed Finder quiz.
Premium Plans: Premium subscriptions unlock additional features including daily trivia, leaderboards, AI chat, and breed identification. Premium plans are available as:
Payment Processing: Payments are processed through Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Stripe, depending on your platform. Each provider has its own terms and billing practices.
Free Trial: New users may receive a 3-day free trial of premium features. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged for the selected plan.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings (App Store or Google Play) or through your account settings for Stripe-managed subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
EU Digital Content: For users located in the European Union: By subscribing to a digital plan, you expressly request immediate access to digital content and acknowledge that you lose your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal once the Service begins.
Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store are subject to the respective platform's refund policies. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple or Google.
For purchases made directly through our website via Stripe, refunds may be requested by contacting support@thepetpursuit.com within 14 days of purchase. Refund eligibility is determined at our discretion and may depend on usage history and applicable law.
Lifetime access purchases provide access for the lifetime of the Service. If the Service is permanently discontinued, no refunds or compensation will be provided unless required by applicable law.

Pet Pursuit includes AI-powered features such as AI Chat and Breed Identification. These features are provided for informational and educational purposes only.
All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, breed data, trivia questions, and software — are the property of Pet Pursuit or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service (such as usernames and quiz responses). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
We reserve the right to remove any user content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.
You may delete your account at any time. From the Home screen, scroll to the bottom and tap your account area to open your Account page, then scroll down to find the deletion option. Account deletion will:

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Pet Pursuit provides educational information about dog breeds. This information is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified veterinarian or animal professional for questions about pet health, behavior, or care.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pet Pursuit and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pet Pursuit, its affiliates, and their respective officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property rights, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) shall survive.
Pet Pursuit reserves the right to modify, suspend, or permanently discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time, with or without notice, for any reason. We will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days' notice before a planned permanent shutdown, but this is not guaranteed in all circumstances (e.g., unforeseen technical, legal, or financial events).
Service Discontinuation: In the event that the Service is discontinued, refunds will be handled in accordance with applicable platform policies and consumer protection laws. No additional credits or compensation of any kind will be provided for any remaining subscription periods, lifetime access purchases, or unused premium features. By purchasing any plan — including lifetime access — you acknowledge and agree that such purchases grant access to the Service only for as long as it remains available, and do not guarantee perpetual or indefinite access.
No Guarantee of Availability: We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or for any specific duration. "Lifetime" plans refer to the lifetime of the Service, not the lifetime of the purchaser. The Service may be discontinued at our sole discretion.
Data Upon Discontinuation: In the event of a planned shutdown, we will make reasonable efforts to allow users to export or retrieve their personal data before the Service is terminated. However, after the Service is discontinued, all user data may be permanently deleted.
